Sewer Construction Update:
MASTER PLAN PRIORITY I PHASE 2 PROJECT TO BEGIN SPRING 2013 - click here for a map of project locations.
Project Description
The Master Plan Priority 1 Phase 2 Project is a collection of 12 critical sewer repairs at five locations. These critical repairs are typically repairs of defects that are too severe to be repaired with spot repairs. The MPP1-P2 project will consist of constructing approximately 1,500 feet of replacement sewers, 200 feet of new sewers and abandoning 1,100 feet of existing sewers. At four of the five project locations, a new 8-inch diameter sewer will replace existing 6-inch diameter sewer to bring these sewer lines in conformance with current District standards. One of the five project locations consist of replacing the existing 12-inch diameter sewer with new 12-inch diameter sewer. This project will also include the construction of nine new sanitary sewer manholes (SSMH), reshape bottoms of nine existing, and abandoning two existing manholes.
