CVSan Residents Tour Davis Street Transfer Station

On March 15, 2011, twenty (20) Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) residents and business owners had the opportunity to participate in CVSan’s 1st Davis Street Transfer Station tour. Attendees walked around the facility on a guided tour led by Waste Management Recycling Programs Manager Rebecca Jewell, and learned first-hand what happens to recycling, organics, and garbage once it leaves the curb. Many commented that the tour was informative and educational.
