CVSan Residents Tour Davis Street Transfer Station
Year:
On November 15, 2011, eight (8) Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) residents and business owners had the opportunity to participate in CVSan’s 4thDavis Street Transfer Station tour. Attendees walked around the facility on a guided tour led by Waste Management Recycling Programs Manager Rebecca Jewell and Recycling Coordinator Natasha Neves, and learned first-hand what happens to recycling, organics, and garbage once it leaves the curb. Attendees had a great time onthe new and improved tour, complete with headsets that made it easy to hear every detail of the tour, questions, and details of what’s coming soon to Davis Street.
The first tour for 2012 has been scheduled for March 14th. Please visit www.cvsan.org/dststour or call CVSan at (510) 537-0757 for the tour itinerary, additional information, and to register. Registration is limited to CVSan residents and business owners and closes on March 1st.
