Information Technology (IT) Intern
Temporary not to exceed 1,000 hours
The Position:
Castro Valley Sanitary District, a public utility located in Castro Valley, is seeking a motivated and energetic individual interested in working in the Information Technology Department. Must be well organized. May be assigned duties including (but not limited to) computer maintenance, entry & data retrieval, maintenance of filing systems, map reading and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient in computer operation and current spreadsheet, word processing and database software.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully in oral and written forms
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors depending upon assignment.
- Ability to work with little supervision.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Math aptitude.
Compensation:
Hourly Salary: Up to $15.00 per hour. Forty hours per week between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday during summer hours and part time during school year.
