Container Set Up Recommendations
- Set up stations with recycling, organics, and garbage containers placed together. Per AB 827, businesses that allow customers access must make recycling and organics containers accessible for customers to dispose of items purchased on-site.
- Place signage on walls at eye level and place stickers on containers so they are visible.
- Reduce the size of indoor garbage containers since most businesses produce less garbage than recycling and organics.
- Make recycling and organics disposal easy and convenient. Determine where you will need access to each type of container.
