UPCOMING COLLECTION: October 5 - 9, 2020.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Between October 5th - 9th, set out bagged, clean textiles by 6:00 a.m. curbside on your collection day and ensure bags are visible to the Alameda County Industries (ACI) driver. Textiles will be collected with a special vehicle that may service your block earlier or later than regular vehicles. Do not place bags behind or on top of carts.
- Single-family residents: set out textiles on your regular collection day.
- Multi-family residents: click here to view a map that notes your textile collection day the week of October 5th - 9th. Refer to your property manager for any questions related to specific collection areas for your complex.
WHAT ARE TEXTILES?
Items made of natural or artificial fibers and fabrics, such as clothing, towels, linens, bath mats, curtains, etc.
WHAT IS ACCEPTED?
Clothing: Bandanas, Beanies, Blouses, Dresses, Footwear (Shoes, Sandals, Slippers, etc.), Gloves/Mittens, Hats/Caps, Jackets/Coats, Jeans, Leg Warmers, Pants, Scarves, Shawls, Shorts, Skirts, Socks, Sweaters, Sweatpants, Sweatshirts, Swimsuits, Ties, T-Shirts, and Undergarments.
Bedding: Bed Sheets, Blankets, and Pillow Covers.
Floor/Wall: Area Rugs (no larger than 9’x12’), Bathmats, Carpet (no larger than 9’x12’), and Curtains.
Miscellaneous: Towels
Light-Up Clothes/Shoes, Mattresses, Mattress Toppers, Pillows, Wet or moldy textiles, Textiles that have human biowaste, blood, toxic chemicals, or motor oil on them.
Customers will not receive a tax-deductible receipt.
